What a complete and total success!
42 entries were submitted for the Bake-Off.
Again, a heart-felt THANK YOU to everyone who entered the contest.
Laurel, Jenn and myself {the judges} were so impressed by each and every recipe.
And the creativity–oh, the creativity!!
So because you have made this even more difficult for us to decide,
take a look at all the entries while the judges stuff their faces with Valentine’s Day goodies.
The winner will be announced Monday!

I want it all in my mouth now, please. Ah, these all look amazing, and I’m excited to see which recipe wins it (but really, the readers are the real winners). I’m definitely bookmarking this page as a ref next time I want to make a fancy dessert.

Cara says:

I know, it’s almost overwhelming. Almost. Then I remember I get to sample it and then I think, I could get used this as a job

Thanks for putting on the contest, Cara. It was fun. Though my friends and family may secretly be really, really glad I’ve stopped tweaking the same recipes over and over again. I’ve also bookmarked the page so I can try all of them, too.
Cara says:

Cara says:

The tarts do have a nice ring to them, don’t they? I am eyeing ALL of the entries really. SOoooooo hard to decide! Thank you again Richa for being awesome and entering multiple times! Seriously. Amazing.

YUMMMM. so many good recipes to try! I especially love how vegan food forces you to be creative with ingredients. Most people would never think to put saffron or avocado in a sweet treat but these look fantastic!! : )
Cara says:
Feb 8, 2012
It really DOES force you to get creative, doesn’t it? I think this is top favorite reason for me for going veggie: the creativity is forced on you {in a good way!}

This is perfect! Every time I get a new cookbook, I always flip to the desserts. I need to know how I can eat deliciousness in a new healthy way. I’m all, “Sure, sure…I’ll sautee more vegetables…Veggie lasagna, no problem. What I neeeed to know is how to eat chocolate, cake, cookies, and donuts in a way that I can justify it to myself later when I’m not out running because I’m too busy eating (healthy) snacks!!!”
Cara says:
Feb 8, 2012
Hilarious. I love the “sure, sure…”

Who would have ever guessed gluten-free/vegan could look THIS GOOD? Truly astonished by all the talent on display; obviously we should all get together for our OWN food fest. Catered by all the contestants, of course
Dawn says:

oh wow, so many great entries – I don’t envy you! So much for my plan to win by default of being the only one…but I’m still honoured to be the first on the list! I was actually going to post the recipe on my blog today too, so this works out perfectly now that you’ve shared all the entries
Cara says:
Feb 8, 2012
HAHA! It would have worked if those pesky others didn’t enter
Hilarious. And since you were the first to enter, it was only fair to put yours at the top of the list! Once you post yours, I will take down the page I created for you for the recipe and link it up to your blog. xo

Good lord! How ever will you choose between them?
I just opened 9 new browser pages, and that’s not including the ones I’ve already printed from the original blog pages.
There simply are not enough hours in the day to try and make each of these delights! Well not with three small munchins at home.
Good luck with your decisions.
