Salad On A Stick

July 9, 2015 by Cara

Looking for ways to get your cutie pies to eat more veggies every day? Make healthy eating fun with Salad on a Stick! Sometimes you need creativity with the little ones and give them an incentive to eat their daily allotment of plants, so get creative in the kitchen! Maybe if I served my salad on a stick, I might have eaten more veggies as a kid. I probably would have just eaten more Doritos but we all can dream.

Salad on a stick: A fun way to serve the kiddos their daily serving of veggies!

This is such a simple yet fun recipe that really doesn’t need a lot of explanation. All you have to do is place all of your salad ingredients onto a stick (I know, what a novel concept with a title of Salad on a Stick) but what ingredients you do use is up to you!

Add or subtract any ingredient that you want. This is your recipe. It’s based off of what you and your kids like so go crazy. This might also be the recipe time to incorporate a new veggie into your kid’s diet. Cut it into a fun shape and now you got more motivation to eat it!

Looking for a good homemade dressing? Give this Nondairy Ranch Dressing a go or maybe even this Cilantro Lime Dressing for the more adventurous little ones. Serve on the side of drizzle each individual Salad on a Stick for a ready made veggie skewer.
