Halloween is getting closer by the day! Since I take it very seriously that it is my moral obligation to get you as ready for this incredible holiday, there is no need to wait. What I love about my pretzel creations (check out my Dark Chocolate Pretzel Screams or even Easter Bunny Pretzel Bites) is that they are incredibly simple to make but are beyond fun to create/eat. The only thing these Mummy Pretzel Bites need ahead of time are a batch of Monster Googly Eyes.
If you will humor me for the moment, might I suggest that when you are making your googly eyes, you separate them into three different bowls. This way, you can make 1 small batch of the original white eyes; 1 small batch of the green; and 1 small batch yellow. Now you have so many options to slap these babies onto as many items as possible. Think your little ones’ lunchboxes and how many fun ideas you can easily make just by putting edible googly eyes onto it. I’m telling you, googly eyes make everything cuter and more fun!
Check out these easy directions on how to make Mummy Pretzel Bites:

These are tooooo cute!! I’m making these + your monster bark for a vegan bakesale this weekend. 😀
I don’t have any cornsyrup on hand but the internet tells me I can use “1 1/4 cups granulated sugar dissolved in 1/4 cup hot water” for 1 cup of light corn syrup – do you think this will hold up okay?? I’ll go get the cornsyrup if you think it’s absolutely necessary… just want to save myself a trip to the store! 😉 haha

Eek, I’m just now seeing this! Did you use the corn syrup sub? It should have worked just fine!
