Edible Fruit Bouquets

May 6, 2016 by Cara

Make your mom (or the woman you love) the freshest, healthiest treat with these edible fruit bouquets! Easy to make and tasty to eat.

So here we are, it’s Mother’s Day tomorrow and the consensus is that I am doing much better than expected. In fact (and I say this is a twinge of guilt for some strange reason–maybe I think I need to still be in the deep waters of my grief? Grief is weird like that) I actually have this strange sense of peace. I owe a good portion of that to my recent healing/grieving/energy session this weekend. I was introduced to a woman who does healing work and thought it would be a good idea to make an appointment. It couldn’t hurt, right?

Make your mom (or the woman you love) the freshest, healthiest treat with these edible fruit bouquets!

The premise is to release the stagnant energy and stuck emotions in your body in order be more open and free. For the grieving session, it was an added release of deep sorrow, leaving the body with more of a connected feeling to the loved one who has passed. My experience was nothing short of amazing and as I sit here in peace, I realize that is exactly what happened for me. Upon lying down and beginning the session, I immediately began a long and detailed vision with my mom. I will spare the details but basically I had this powerful conversation with her for the majority of the hour in this vision.

The things she said to me were so beautiful and comforting, that whenever I find myself needing to be near my mom or when those images of her in the hospital haunt me, I go back immediately to that vision in that session and find immediate peace. It’s definitely something like I’ve never felt before. Again, thanks mom.

These edible fruit bouquets are a creative way to say “I love you!” this Mother’s Day or for even any other special occasion. Come see how easy they are to make:

Ingredients

Fresh fruit like:

  • pineapple
  • watermelon
  • cantaloupe
  • strawberries
  • blueberries
  • kiwi

Other items needed:

  • flower-shaped cookie cutters
  • skewers, cut in half

Instructions

  1. Cut the fruit into flower shapes with the cookie cutters. Make sure the fruit is cut thick too, otherwise it will not stay on your skewer.
  2. Assemble by placing it onto a halved skewer.
  3. Place in a vase with a piece of floral foam (you can find this at any craft store) in order to keep it sticking straight up and in place.

It just seems like she has gone out of her way to communicate with me and has been giving me messages of deep love that I cannot ignore and sit in sorrow for the time being. I cry still, sure, every day I still cry, it just comes from a different place currently. I marvel at her incredible beauty and ponder on the words she has spoken and the signs she has given in her passing and in this life as well. How lucky I continue to be to have her as my mom…

Also, I hope that you did find peace – as I have recently lost my mother, and although my comment is late here – mothers day was a challenge for me. Thank you for the beautiful post <3

Think of it this way- your mom wouldn’t want you to suffer. So feeling at peace today is like a beautiful gift to her.

Your mother is so beautiful. I never met her but based on what you’ve told me about her I adore her. I want to be more like her too! Also. That healing session sounds amazing. I want to try it! and fruit bouquets? Brilliant!

Her nickname at work was “Posh Spice” because she was such a snazzy dresser 🙂 She really was/is beautiful, so full of love and life. I was so lucky and continue to be lucky to have her in my life. Love you friend! xo
