Pumpkin Mandarin Oranges

November 6, 2018 by Cara

Want to add a festive flair to your kid’s lunch box this season? Not too creative but can handle cutting some pipe cleaner and taping it to something? Well then, I have just the thing for you! These Pumpkin Mandarin Oranges are an easy way to make lunch a little more fall-flavored and fun!

You don’t need much to make these Pumpkin Mandarin Oranges. You only need 4 things:

  • mandarin orange cups
  • green pipe cleaner (2 tones of green works best)
  • tape
  • scissors

Make a big batch of these ahead of time so you can just pop one into the lunchbox and you’re good to go for every day of the week! Just follow the photo tutorial below on how to make your own Pumpkin Mandarin Oranges:

  1. Cut a 2″ piece of green pipe cleaner. Fold it in half with on side a little longer. This is the part you will tape onto the mandarin orange cup.
  2. Cut another piece of light green pipe cleaner (approximately the same size). Wrap it around your finger for a curly look. Tape it to the cup behind the stem.

That’s it. See? I told you it would be easy. And you had your doubts…silly you! And now you have another fun idea to put into your kid’s lunch box. You’re welcome.
