Woodland Animal Toast

November 22, 2016 by Cara

Thanksgiving is just around the corner and instead of bombarding you with dinner recipes (there are plenty of them circulating the internet, besides you can always look here to see some of my favorites), I wanted to give you a unique breakfast idea to serve your kiddos on the day of feasting. In fact, these are so adorable they don’t need a special day to be served. Make your littles a fox, hedgehog, and/or owl any day of the week! Turn your gluten free bread into magical breakfast Woodland Animal Toast with these fall-inspired cuties..

Recipe notes about making Woodland Animal Toast:

1.I used BFree gluten free bread that is made without gluten, eggs, and dairy. If you are unable to eat bread sold in stores due to your food allergies, take a look at this homemade gluten free vegan bread recipe or this yeast free one.

2. If you are nut free, see the recipe notes in each animal toast to see how you can sub out the nuts and replace with seeds.

3. The dairy free cream cheese used is store bought. You can always try this homemade version of your own if you are interested, however it is made with cashews.

Woodland Animal Toast: The Fox

What you’ll need:

  • 2 slices of gluten free bread, toasted
  • dairy free cream cheese
  • peanut butter (or favorite seed butter)
  • 2 almond slices
  • 2 slices of banana
  • 3 blueberries

So stinkin’ cute. I don’t know how you’re going to get little J to eat regular food – ever. I can just see his face the first time anyone hands him a piece of toast. Love you. Happy Thanksgiving.
