Vegan MoFo Theme

September 1, 2013 by Cara

This is my THIRD Vegan MoFo, I can hardly believe it! Are you signed up too? Eeeeeeeee….

mofo

Every year I have participated, I have done an homage to all things Halloween. 2 reasons why: 1). It has always fallen upon the month of October that I have been involved, and 2). I LOVE HALLOWEEN! (and that’s putting it lightly…) Even though this year we are in September, I cannot help myself. I HAVE to have some sort of hand in Halloween. And why not have a hand in the Halloween candy jar…

My first entrance into the scene of food blogging really began during Vegan MoFo and that year I had a new-found love for gluten-free and vegan candy-making. I never made candy before nor did I even know that I would actually enjoy it as much as I had. So this year I wanted to re-visit my roots and perfect some old recipes and introduce tons of new. So my theme has been born:

themeAll in preparation for Halloween next month, of course. Here are some old posts from 2011. I cannot WAIT to show you the new and improved versions as well as ones that I have yet to take a stab at. Until then, enjoy!

My theme will be balance (if I manage to stick to it^^). I will alternate daily between sweet and savoury recipes. All subject to change though 🙂

Here’s your theme song for these….Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons – Candy Girl. Check it out on YouTube.
Of course, it’s a blast from my past and your theme reminded me of it 🙂
I’m drooling. I want them all but especially the Butterfinger!
