Vegan Chocolate Easter Bunny

April 4, 2012 by Cara

When Enjoy Life sent me a box of non-dairy chocolatey goodies to sample a few weeks ago, I had no choice but to make some form of candy with it, right? RIGHT?!  It’s not like I am a stranger to this brand–in fact, it is my top pick when choosing chocolate to work with. I cannot taste the difference between them and your typical full of dairy chocolate. So when that bag of Mega Chunks chocolate chips stared at me in the eye from the box, I immediately ordered a 3D bunny mold and knew that a vegan chocolate Easter Bunny was begging to be made. {Bow tie and sugary eyes, not included}.

Vegan Chocolate Easter Bunny

Isn’t he so adorable that you could just gooble him right up? {Be careful, however! I nearly broke my tooth while trying to take a bite out of his ear}. You better believe that this bunny used an ENTIRE  bag of chocolate chips.  Can you imagine devouring this little guy? It would probably take me a year to finish. That is a lot of chocolate!

Vegan Chocolate Easter Bunny

In the spirit of Easter, I’m playing Easter Bunny and am giving 2 lucky winners a free bag of Enjoy Life chocolate chips in their Easter basket.  Who wants a bag? Simply comment after you do 1, 2, and/or all 3 of the following:

  1. “Like” Fork and Beans on Facebook {or tell me if you already do}.
  2. “Like” Enjoy Life Foods on Facebook and tell them Fork and Beans sent you.
  3. Leave a comment telling me what chocolatey treat you will make with a bag of nondairy chocolate chips.

The winner will be announced Friday.

Vegan Chocolate Easter Bunny

So while you are busy entering to win, I am going to get on a plane to meet this precious angel:

If you ask me, this is the best gift anyone could receive in their Easter basket! A free bag of non-dairy chocolate chips is always a close second, however…

We are hanging in there. Things are going quite differently than expected, which doesn’t always translate into it’s a bad thing. However, we are a bit disappointed and feel like we have surrendered our expectations…
Have you and the fam made the move yet?

    April 4, 2012 at 4:29 pm

first off, thats the most precious little cutie ever. and no amount of “awwwww”s can do that justice.
second, for the giveaway, its pretty simple, but i want enjoy lifes goodies for allergy friendly cookies that ive been promising my husband id make for waaaay too long. in my defense, he still has the birthday brownies i made him.

    • Cara

      April 5, 2012 at 8:18 am

Hehehe. Well these choco chips to be put into cookies for your husband should hopefully keep him pacified until his next birthday… And this baby is even cuter in person! Ooohhhhing and aaaahhhhing galore!

My choir master is G.F. and there are a number of Vegans in the choir, they always drool over my cupcakes. So, if I were to win, I’d bake them their very own batch of Las-cupcakes! (after practice first of course so I managed to get them to rise and not sink like a stone πŸ˜‰ LOL!)

PS that baby is adorable! Take lots of pictures on your trip!!

    • Cara

      April 5, 2012 at 8:16 am

If you made a GF/vegan cupcake, your choir would lift you up on their shoulders and sing your praises… Hope you win!

…the bunny, not the baby. Just in case anyone needed clarification there

Yay for chocolate!! I LOVE their mini chips… I use them in banana bread and cupcakes. With a whole bag of chunks, I think that a batch of ganache is in order… perhaps with some fresh berries for the kidlets?
Happy travels, and lots of smooches to those sweet new cheeks!! xoxo

I just missed seeing that baby by a few days when I was in that town getting a check up. Now I have baby envy. And I was wishing I had a bunny mold this weekend because I was craving a solid chocolate bunny. Odd. So what would I make? Blondies with cacao butter and chocolate chunks and cherries. Absolutely. No doubt in my mind. Have a safe trip. The worst is over. xo

    • Laurel

      April 4, 2012 at 7:39 am

Oh, and maybe a hint of espresso. πŸ˜€

      • Laurel

        April 4, 2012 at 9:35 am

        Now you’re just teasing me.

        • Cara

          April 4, 2012 at 9:38 am

Not teasing at all! I just have no way to get there πŸ™ My sister is complaining “Oh, I’m tired! I just gave birth!” I’m trying to tell her to suck it up but she won’t have any of it. ha

          • Laurel

            April 4, 2012 at 1:05 pm

Tell her you have GOT to take Carmian here: http://www.srfestival.com/
failing that I accept baby pictures as baby cuddles from strangers is just creepy. Make sure YOU get all the hugs and kisses you can and then be sure to stash your luggage with more for later. xo

Well, now you are in the drawing for a free bag so that will hold you over for a while, right? πŸ™‚ I hear ya though. But usually that conversation ends in my head with: What can I get rid of in my shopping cart so I can buy choco chips instead? Priorities, right? ha
