Father’s Day Portrait Toasts

June 14, 2016 by Cara

Father’s Day is coming this weekend and if you haven’t gotten your dad anything yet, stayed tuned this week. I’ve got several ideas for fun food art projects to make your favorite old man. Since my Mother’s Day Breakfast Toasts were such a hit, I figured that dads would want their portrait displayed on a bed of gluten free toast and hummus too, that’s why I’m kicking off this week with these Father’s Day Portrait Toasts.

Make dad proud on his special day with these fun, easy-to-put-together Father's Day Portrait Toasts. He will LOVE the creativity behind them!

The canvas spread options are endless. You can use egg free mayo, a homemade dairy free cream cheese, hummus, or even go the sweeter route with peanut butter or a homemade (allergen friendly) nutella. You choose! And of course, your choice for the spread might be based of the color of your dad’s skin. All shades can be represented!

Even better if you serve these toasts on a tray for breakfast in bed. Your dad is going to LOVE the thought and creativity behind his gift. I mean, nothing says “I love you” more than his face drawn into a bread with veggies, am I right?!

Hi Cara, these look so cute. I guess we have to make them this Sunday for father and grandpa. I believe my 3-year-old son would love it and may eat some of the veggies. Thanks for sharing 🙂
